Based on the open source self-built private cloud platform, Migu carries the infrastructure layer of various business service applications, and builds cloud data centers in Nanjing, Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Wuxi, and Xiamen.
Demand challenge
A set of highly available and reliable storage platforms must be built to provide block storage services for all VMS on the cloud platform.
It can be easily adapted to the cloud platform as back-end storage, while ensuring data storage performance and security.
Characteristics and value
UCloudStor is used as the cloud platform for all data centers to provide block storage services, and is connected to the open source private cloud platform virtualization through the RBD standard interface.
Multiple storage clusters have been constructed in Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Chengdu, Wuxi, and Ximen respectively, which can be divided into full SSD cluster and HDD+SSD cache cluster to meet storage requirements in multiple scenarios.
The HDD cluster uses the SSD cache acceleration solution to automatically transfer hot and cold data, improve the performance of HDD-type block storage, and save overall construction costs.
Three-copy data storage, multi-level fault domains, self-healing of disk data faults, and fully distributed and redundant architecture design ensure data security and support linear expansion of capacity and performance levels
